What are the eligibility criteria for the GradSkills programme?
To enrol on this programme, you must:
- be aged 19 or over on the course start date
- be employed, self-employed or unemployed
- have graduated from university between the years 2018-2023 and not currently be in full-time university
- have obtained at least a Level 5 qualification in Higher Education
- have the right to legally reside and work in the UK
- reside in West Yorkshire (eligible postcodes include BD, LS, HX, HD, WF)
- not be in full time education or undertaking an apprenticeship at the time of joining
- not have undertaken a skills connect course in the past
How long will the GradSkills course take me?
You must complete a minumum of 3 modules to have completed this course. Each module should take approximately 4 hours to complete, though they do not need to be completed in one go.
Is there a finish date for this GradSkills course?
Funding for this project concludes in 2024 so you will have until July 31st 2024 to complete the course.
How many events can I/should I attend?
We aim to provide 3 employer events per year - you are eligible to attend all of these, it is at your discretion. You can find details of events on your dashboard under the 'events' tab.
What if I graduated from a West Yorkshire HEI but don't live there any more?
Only graduates who currently live in West Yorkshire are eligible for this course.
